Welcome and thank you for expressing interest in my website! I’m Jessica Turk. I was born and raised in Manalapan, New Jersey, also known as Exit 123 off the Garden State Parkway. Although people may refer to me as a Jersey Girl, I consider myself to be a true New Yorker.
I found my earliest inspiration at the age of six, when I heard Britney Spears sing for the first time on a Hit Clip. I wanted to be just like her and begged my parents to sign me up for voice lessons. After repeatedly injuring myself dancing around my living room and screaming wildly, they finally caved in and allowed me to take voice lessons. As I grew older, dance lessons and acting lessons also made their way onto my schedule. Little did anyone know that these hobbies were actually the beginnings of my passion for musical theatre.
When I was in middle school, I auditioned for the school musical Willy Wonka. I was cast as Charlie Bucket (yes, I was going to be playing a boy, and it was an awesome experience!). It was a life changing moment that made me realize I wanted to pursue theatre professionally. I am blessed that I found my calling at such a young age.
Currently, I live in NYC and am an alumni of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. I strongly believe that my heart, soul and passion will provide a strong foundation for my career. I am a hard worker and have always been respectful with my peers, easy to work with and professional.
